Well, I finished my first semester as a graduate student. It was physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting, but I loved it. It was wonderful to finally have just about everything that I studied be applicable to the real world. I really think that I have finally found the career for me. I can't wait to get finished so that I can put all of my neat ideas into practice in the classroom. I still haven't decided what grade level yet, but I think I'm still leaning toward third grade. Though, the second graders that I spent a day with were awfully cute and fun to work with. I guess this is why I'm required to do 80 observation/volunteer hours before my student teaching internship.
For a quick med school update, Mike's Miami interviews went really well. The associate dean of the Boca campus liked Mike especially well and said that he would "do everything in his power to get him in". We're hoping to hear from both campuses late this month. Also, Mike got his official interview invite from the University of Indiana. He will be interviewing on Jan. 7th.

Jess and Mike -
It is great to hear that things are going well. Please let me know if Mike needs a place to stay in Indiana or a pick up from the airport, etc. My brother lives right there and is happy to help in any way. Jessica
