So a process that began almost two years ago has finally paid off. I got my first acceptance to a medical school today from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (main campus). They are a really good school and I am extremely excited. Thanks to everyone who helped support me as I went through all of this. Now the process isn't over yet, because I am still going to try for admission at a few other schools, but only a handful of them would really challenge Miami. Those are probably UM, UF, and UCF for those who are interested. But today marks the transition to a new chapter in the Florida Flemings' life. Cheers!
***I just received the email confirmation from Miami, and it turns out I was accepted to both the main campus in Miami and the regional campus at FAU (in Boca Raton). Hooray for having choices!
