Nursery Progress

I have spent some time during the last two weekends working on the nursery. I absolutely love how it is turning out, so I wanted to share my progress and process with you! Two weeks ago, I was really excited to get started but had forgotten my PowerPoint projector, which is what I planned to use to transfer my drawing to the walls. So, instead I used the more traditional method of blowing up the image, printing it as a banner, and tracing it on the wall to get started on the star of the design: the alligator. It took forever to do it this way, but it worked.
Here is the paper alligator up on the wall:

Here is what it looked like once I started painting the first coat:

The next week I remembered my projector, so the image transfer went a lot more quickly and smoothly.
Here is my projector setup:

This is what it looks like when the image is projected on the wall:

By scrolling on the computer and moving the projector, you can easily make a mural that covers the entire wall. Even people who are not particularly artistically inclined could easily scan pictures from children's books and use this method to trace them as murals on their child's walls.
Mike helped out with some of the grass. What a good daddy already:

I've only finished the first coat on the alligator and some of the grass, so far:

Everything needs a second coat and some outlining. This is obvious because the alligator is missing some important details like an eye, mouth, and legs. I hope to get a first coat on some of the trees soon, and will post when I do.
