Innocent Murmur

James had his follow up appointment with the pediatric cardiologist this morning and the echo showed some unexpected results. As it turns out, the problem has resolved itself! There is still a slight murmur caused by the blood flow in one area of his heart being slightly fast, but it is far less than at his first appointment. The doctor says that the pressure readings are now "normal" (or so close that it isn't significant). James will not have to go back for any more appointments with the cardiologist, though we might decide to take him back in a few years just to double check that everything is still normal.

Today's results left the doctor scratching his head as he thought that he had properly diagnosed it as mild pulmonary stenosis, which does not resolve on its own. Call it a miracle or call it a misdiagnosis. I don't care what you call it. I'm just happy that my baby boy is healthy!
