The First Dragonfly

I'm not exactly sure why, but I got very excited about the idea of adding the dragonflies to the mural this weekend. I sketched in a few of them and completed one, so that I could see how they were going to look.

Here is the finished dragonfly. There are going to be about eight dragonflies like this one scattered throughout the room. :

While I was painting, I did come to the realization that the clock is ticking on me finishing this project. I'm already having difficulty working on any of the parts where I need to stand, especially the parts where I have to stand on a ladder. Not that long ago I was painting for 6-8 hour stretches, but now I'm lucky if I can do 2-3 hours at a time before I'm exhausted. Thankfully, internship is ending very soon, so I can get back down there and finish up this nursery before I'm humongous!
