Update from Lake Worth

September is here, I can feel the cool 95 degree breeze a-blowin'. Jessica has started up her classes at UCF again for the fall, med school is starting to get very busy, and even the dogs are starting to go to Camp Canine a couple days a week. It's kind of an odd schedule for us to get used to, as Jessica has to leave for Merritt Island/Orlando every Wednesday morning and return Friday morning, so it is just the dogs and I here for those two days, but I am sure we will adjust.

Med school is starting to get very demanding, but I get to do a lot of interesting things during the day. Today, for instance, I had 4 hours of lecture and small group learning embryology, physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry. This was followed by an hour long presentation (and free pizza) by a plastic surgeon about the history and latest developments in his field. After that I spent 4 hours this afternoon seeing patients on my first day with my community preceptor. I get to wear a dandy white coat and everything. My preceptor is a cardiologist, so I will be learning a lot of that over the next year or two.

I took an embryology class at UM, it was fun. It wasn't in the med school though obviously.
