So, it's official, Mike is going to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Regional Campus at Boca Raton! He sent Miami his official campus choice, accepting his place at the Boca campus and declining his place at the Miami campus. It is unlikely that he would have chosen to go anywhere else, but since the final interview date for UF has passed and Michigan put him in the bottom tier of their wait list, we can say with 100% certainty that he will be going to Boca. It feels great to have that settled!
My parents are down in Boca right now checking out the area. They have found a promising house and we are going to go look at it either on Wednesday or Saturday. I really hope it works out, because it would be nice to have that settled too.
Also, After over 100 applications to everywhere from fitness centers to retail stores, Mike finally has a job! He is going to be working for a company in Orlando that grades elementary school standardized tests (a little ironic, right?). We thought that he would be working on a project that runs from mid April to late May, but he got called in early. He's starting work this Friday!
