Today was one of the worst days I have ever had. Michael and I went to Merritt Island this weekend so that he could shadow two doctors that are friends of my parents (one on Friday and one today). I have a journal article review due tonight and had planned on downloading the article this morning. I have done this many times before with no problems, but today it wouldn't let me download the full text without a library activated UCF ID. With everything else that has been happening this semester I didn't have time to get a UCF ID. So, I penned the dogs in my room at my parents house and drove to Orlando. For those of you not from Florida this drive takes a bit over an hour. After a very sweaty walk around campus, during which I visited multiple buildings trying to track down either a hard copy of the article or a UCF ID, I had my very own UCF ID. I rushed back to my parents house to let the dogs out, download my article, and review it.
While I was struggling to get my article to print (yes the printer turned on me too), Navio decided this was a great time to discover how to open the trash can and empty it all over the kitchen. I rushed to clean up the mess, penned the dogs back in my room, and returned to my homework. Just as I finished printing my article review and stapling it to my article, Michael comes home from shadowing. He cleans the dishes while I shower (finally!) and then we both rush around the house gathering up everything we need to take to Orlando. Its now 4pm and my class is at 5:30pm. I'm on my way to load up the car when I hear a hissing sound. My tire has a nail in it and is almost flat. At this point I give up and call my professor to explain that I am stuck in Brevard County with a flat tire and email her my homework. Let's hope she excuses the absence.
I think I'm going to go to be early tonight before this day gets any worse.
